Introduction
These terms set out the conditions for using Kubbo, operated by Agedum (the "Service"). By using the Service, you are
deemed to agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The same terms
apply when you play as a guest without an account.
What information the Service receives and how it is handled is described separately in the
Privacy Policy, which applies together with these terms.
About the Service
Kubbo is a turn-based web game that runs in your browser. There is nothing to install, and there are
no paid features.
- Solo: you play one game against two bots. You choose the bots' difficulty from three levels.
-
Online: three people play one game. You can meet strangers through Quick Match, or
create a private room and share its room code or invite link (
/room/room code) to play
with friends.
-
Records: finished games are kept as replays that can be watched again from a link.
If you have an account, the history of the games you played is kept on your account.
Ads (Google AdSense) may appear on the screen.
Changes
These terms and the Service may change. When the terms change, the updated terms will be posted on
this page, and if you keep using the Service after that, you are deemed to agree to the updated terms.
Part or all of the Service may be suspended or discontinued.
No Warranty
The Service is provided as is. We do not promise that it will work without
interruption or without errors. The Service runs on servers that the operator runs directly, so it may
stop for maintenance or outages.
Nor do we promise that game records will be kept forever. Replays are kept for a while and then
cleaned up.
Limitation of Liability
The Service is free. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising
from using, or being unable to use, the Service. This includes the loss of game results, records, or
settings.
Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law and a dispute arises with someone else as a result, you must
resolve that dispute yourself. The operator is not responsible for it.
What You Upload
If you have an account, you can set a profile name and upload a
profile photo. Both are shown on the screens of the people you play with, and the
name you had in a game also stays in that game's replay. Guest names (names starting with
kubbo-) are assigned by the Service, so you do not choose them.
You do not upload the emotes used in games; you pick them from eight that the Service has
prepared.
You are responsible for the names and photos you upload. Please do not upload anything that involves
someone else's rights, such as another person's face, artwork, or name.
The Service does not review names and photos before they go up, so you may come across an offensive
name or photo uploaded by another user. If you do, you can tap that person's profile card during a
game and choose [Report]. There are three reasons: Inappropriate profile photo ·
Inappropriate name · Cheating. Reports are recorded and checked by the operator in person.
A report alone does not lead to any automatic penalty.
Removal
Anything that has been reported, that infringes someone else's rights, or that the operator judges to
be inappropriate may be removed without notice.
Prohibited Conduct
Please do not do the following.
- Playing automatically with a program or script, or sending requests in a way no person would
- Manipulating the result of a game, or exploiting bugs to win unfairly
- Using someone else's account
- Using a name or photo that pretends to be another person or the operator
- Putting excessive load on the Service
The server does not accept requests such as logging in or signing up when they come too often, or a
single request that is too large. Requests that look like the conduct above may be refused.
